Through the Health Care Education Loan Program, financial support of up to $12,000 is available for employees earning certificates, degrees and advanced degrees in approved health-related programs. Loans may be forgiven based upon service to the organization. Cottage Health offers tuition reimbursement up to $1,000 a year for the cost of classes and books required for approved educational courses, conferences, CEUs or degree programs. It is a new, tax- deductible philanthropic opportunity for employees to help others in the Cottage family. When a co-worker is faced with an emergency situation that creates a financial burden, the CARE Fund provides short-term assistance with housing, food, transportation and other basic needs. This program evolved from the Employee Emergency Assistance Program. Created during the local natural disasters of 2017 and 2018, the Employee Emergency Assistance Program provided employees with financial assistance as well as temporary housing and transportation. Whether short-term or long-term, counseling is available to help make life-changing differences for employees and their families. The Employee Assistance Program was created to help when an employee or family member needs confidential assistance, counseling or referrals, and it is provided at no cost.
