Tuition Reimbursement and Certification Bonuses Cottage Health encourages and reimburses advanced education to help employees accomplish their highest level of success. Employees can be reimbursed for the cost of classes and books required for approved educational courses, conferences, CEs and degree programs – up to $1,000 a year for full- time and up to $750 a year for part-time. In addition, Cottage Health will provide bonuses of up to $1,000 for each nationally- recognized certification received and $500 for re-certification. To maintain our tradition and effectively prepare for the future, we offer educational opportunities in nursing. We support nursing education in our communities through special partnerships with Santa Barbara City College (SBCC) and California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI). Cottage Health and CSUCI teamed up to offer the region’s first Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). This partnership creates a highly qualified local workforce. The program’s facility is adjacent to Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital and includes high-tech classrooms, state-of-the-art simulation labs and faculty offices.
