Cottage Health 2020 Culture Audit

Face-to-Face Interviews with Peers NEW: At Cottage Health, we believe it is important to get to know a job candidate during the interview process. Following approval by the hiring manager, in-person peer interviews are conducted. We believe that peer interviews are an essential component in building the right team, one individual at a time. Peer interviews allow a candidate and the Cottage team to interact and engage in direct discussion about expectations, needs, and work styles to ensure a better fit. For candidates, interviewing with members of the team allows them to get more familiar with the organization, so they can determine if Cottage is a good fit for them. A peer interview can also make the candidate more comfortable as any interview process can be stressful. When peers having a voice in who joins their team, we find that they are invested in the process, know that they are valued members of the organization and are excited to welcome a new team member. Volunteering in Our Community NEW: Cottage Health employees are dedicated to investing time at local schools and colleges to educate, inform and encourage curious students. Partners in Education NEW: Each year, numerous Cottage employees volunteer in local high schools to support student learning and help prepare them for college and careers.
