Cottage Health 2020 Culture Audit

United Way Partnerships and Prizes Cottage Health values its partnership with United Way and encourages and incentivizes employees who volunteer and contribute to make lives better throughout our community. Cottage Health has regular raffles in which employees who donate can win vacations and PTO. Magnet Celebration Cottage Health is a Magnet-inspired organization striving to achieve and sustain outcomes reflective of our exemplary care. The support of organizational leadership and of our Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), Herb Geary , is evident in our daily practice. An example is ceiling lifts located in each patient room in our new pavilions. There are many examples like this and all are testimonials to the organization’s commitment the organization to nurses and, ultimately, to our patients. Each year, Cottage Health has a multi- day Magnet Celebration to display the work of our nurses. Last year, more than 500 employees attended the event and were able to view and vote on presentation posters created by our nurses. Holiday Parties Another way we thank our employees and celebrate holidays is with year- end parties. Cottage Health holds multiple holiday parties to accommodate employees who live throughout Santa Barbara County. These festivities are an opportunity to gather employees and guests for a fun evening of dinner, dancing and prizes.
